Here are some other ideas and uses for cookie cutters

Wedding & bridal shower favors. Tie a printed card with the name of the
bride & groom, wedding date and the phrase "Truly cut out for each other".
Inside the card print a sugar cookie recipe.
Baby shower favors. Wrap the cookie cutter in pastel tulle and tie on a
baby poem.
Use cookie cutters to cut out other foods such as brownies, petit fours,
cheesecake, rice crispy treats, gelatin jigglers and finger sandwiches.
Cut out shapes for your homemade crafts like candle wax and soap.
Dough Ornaments
2 cups flour
1/2 cup salt
3/4 cup warm water
Combine flour and salt. Add water
a little at a time. Knead for 3 - 5
minutes. Roll out dough about
1/4" thick. Cut out ornament. Use
a straw to make a hole for hanging.
Let air dry or bake at 200 degrees
on an ungreased cookie sheet for
approx. 2 hours.
Paint or decorate as desired.
Cinnamon Ornaments
3/4 cup applesauce
4 oz cinnamon
Knead ingredients together. Roll
dough between 2 sheets of
plastic wrap about 1/4" to 1/2"
thick. Peel off top piece of
plastic wrap. Cut out ornaments
and use a straw to cut out a hole
for hanging. Let air dry for a few
days or bake at 200 degrees for
2 1/2 hours.
Enjoy the wonderful smell.
ROLL OUT COOKIES
1 CUP UNSALTED BUTTER SOFTENED 2 3/4 CUPS ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
1 1/2 CUPS GRANULATED SUGAR 2 TSP BAKING POWDER
1 EGG 1 TSP SALT
1 1/2 TSP CLEAR VANILLA
1/2 TSP ALMOND FLAVOR
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, cream butter with sugar until
light and fluffy. Add egg and flavorings; mix well. Combine dry ingredients;
add to butter mixture 1 cup at a time, mixing after each addition.
DO NOT chill dough. Divide dough into 2 balls. On a floured surface, roll each
ball to 1/8" thickness. This is best done using rolling pin spacer rings. Dip
cookie cutter in flour before each use. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 6-7
minutes or until lightly brown.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
Pour Cookie Icing
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tsp light corn syrup
2 tsp water
Mix together and add flavoring and color. Use this for outlining.
Gradually add more corn syrup until a pourable consistency.
This icing dries hard and shiny.
Ideal for foodoodler markers.
